Slick comedy-drama about a day in the life of the cutups who work and hang out at a barbershop on Chicago's South Side. Ice Cube plays Calvin Palmer, an entrepreneurial soul who inherits his father's struggling hair business. Unfortunately, Calvin doesn't want to be the head honcho, so he sells the shop to a local loan shark---a move that greatly upsets his regulars.
