Slacker Jeff (Jason Segel) lives with his mom, smokes pot and waits for the universe to give him a sign about what to do with his life. Over the course of a day, he reconnects with his estranged brother, who is having serious marriage problems. Meanwhile, their widowed mother gets a second chance at love.
