This family drama follows Renn, a writer who's returning to his Cleveland hometown upon the death of his mother. Along the way, he encounters a charming stranger who encourages him to face conflicts he's been running away from all his life. He arrives at their family home facing those conflicts, such as interactions with his kindhearted but bumbling father, intimate talks with his high-strung sister, and his distrust of his arrogant stepfather.
